01 / Why this exists

Coming back is not the same.

You probably know what you used to be able to do. You probably also know that you are not in that body any more. The trouble is, most gyms still treat you as if you are.

Generic classes. Loud, anonymous spaces. Programmes that ignore postpartum reality and expect you to keep up.

This is the alternative. A structured six-week return, coached in person, built around where mums actually are. No bouncing back. No before-and-after. Just a steady, supported rebuild of strength on your terms.

02 / The thinking

Coaching, not classes.

You train in small groups of six to eight, led by a coach who knows your name, your goals, and what you walked through the door with.

Every session is structured, progressive, and adapted to where you are. You will not be lost in a crowd, pushed past what is sensible, or left to work it out alone.

By week six, you will feel stronger, steadier, and clearer on what comes next.

03 / The format

Two sessions a week.

Structured strength and conditioning, coached in person, in small groups. Sessions are timed around school runs, naps, and morning windows. You book a slot, you show up, the work is set, the coach is there.

Nothing about it is generic. You are not following an app, an algorithm, or a video. You are being coached.

Reconnect

Movement screen, breathing and pelvic floor reconnection, baseline strength work. We set the floor before we add load.

Weeks three & four

Rebuild

Progressive strength work, conditioning that respects energy levels, recovery built in. Confidence with weights starts here.

Weeks five & six

Reclaim

Stronger sessions, real loads, full coaching support. Plus a clear plan for what training looks like after the six weeks finish.

Olivia Kreigenfeld, founder and head coach.

Olivia built Physical Formula around the idea that coaching, not class numbers, is what changes how people train. She has spent over a decade working with women rebuilding strength after children, injury, surgery, and long breaks.

Every session in this programme is led by Olivia or one of her senior coaches, in person, on the floor with you. Not handed off. Not autopiloted.

What people ask before signing up.

How long after birth can I start?

Most members come to us between three months and three years postpartum. You should have had your six-week GP check and feel ready to begin. We talk through what is sensible for your stage on the onboarding call before anything starts.

What if I have not trained in years?

That is exactly who this is for. The first two weeks are deliberately about foundations, so you are never thrown into something that does not match where you are. Coaching adjusts every exercise to your level.

What if I am still breastfeeding?

Completely fine. Many of our members trained throughout breastfeeding. We work around it, including session timing and intensity, with no awkwardness.

What about pelvic floor or diastasis?

Both are covered in your onboarding and screen. Coaching is postpartum-aware, and we will not push you into anything that does not respect your recovery. If we think you need additional support from a women's health physio first, we will say so.

What if I cannot make a session?

Sessions are bookable across the week so you have flexibility. If something comes up, you can move sessions or catch up the following week. Nothing is wasted.

Will I be the only beginner?

No. Every cohort is made up of women in similar positions. You will be training alongside people who get exactly where you are starting from.

What happens after the six weeks?

You will leave with a clear plan and the option to continue with ongoing small group personal training at Physical Formula. There is no pressure to continue. Plenty of members do, some do not, both are fine.

The discovery call is free and pressure-free. If we are not the right fit for you, we will tell you and recommend somewhere that is. The only thing we are looking for is whether we can genuinely help.
