Where Manj started
Manj was already doing strength work a couple of times a week before she joined us in August 2025. What she wanted was to progress her conditioning, build her engine and start training the HYROX format properly.
What changed
She ran her first ever 5K PB in summer 2025, not long after joining. She now trains with the team three to four times a week: two sessions focused on strength, the rest on conditioning. The mix is exactly the shape we would recommend for anyone wanting to take HYROX seriously without sacrificing the lifting.
Manj brings other members out of their shell. The room is better because she is in it. The training is a big part of the story. The energy she brings to the floor is the other part.
Coach noteThe doubles
She has just completed her first mixed doubles HYROX in Glasgow with fellow member Rajan, running a 1:45:53. For a first competitive HYROX as a doubles pair, that is a serious result.
What is next
Manj has signed up for her first solo HYROX race in Cardiff in May 2026. We cannot wait to see her line up for it. As we keep saying around the gym about her: bring it, because she is on fire.
