Every rep is coached
You are making a journey for this, so none of the forty-five minutes is wasted. A coach watches your bar path, bracing and tempo on every set, and scales the session to how you are moving that day.
Forty-five-minute sessions, a coach on every rep and never more than seven people on the floor, in a private unit on the south edge of Royal Leamington Spa. From Stratford town centre it is about 25 minutes by the A46, with free parking right outside the door.
Living in Stratford-upon-Avon, you are not short of places to work out. What is harder to find is training where a coach writes the programme, runs every session and keeps the group to seven people or fewer. That is all we do at Physical Formula, through coached small group strength and conditioning and HYROX coaching as an official HYROX Training Club, from our unit on Heathcote Industrial Estate, just off Europa Way on the southern edge of Royal Leamington Spa.
From most of Stratford the drive takes around 25 minutes: out to the A46, one junction on the M40, then Europa Way. It fits before work, after the school drop or on the way home, and the car park outside the unit is free, so the time you set aside goes on training, not on hunting for a space.
Everyone begins with a free fifteen minute discovery call, so you can ask about the drive, the timings and the training before you set off at all.
A fair question when there are gyms closer to Shottery, Tiddington or Bishopton. This is what changes when every minute is coached.
You are making a journey for this, so none of the forty-five minutes is wasted. A coach watches your bar path, bracing and tempo on every set, and scales the session to how you are moving that day.
Programming runs in progressive blocks, so you arrive knowing what the session is for. No standing in the middle of the floor deciding what to do, and no copying the person beside you.
Small groups mean no queue for the rack and no scramble for kit. Park outside, walk in, and your coach already has your numbers from last week ready to build on.
You train with the same people at the same times each week. On a dark January morning, when the A46 feels a long way, knowing they are expecting you is often what gets you in the car.
Leave the town centre on the A439 Warwick Road and join the A46 at Marraway Island towards Warwick. At Longbridge island, the M40’s Junction 15, go south on the motorway for one junction and leave at Junction 14 onto the A452 Europa Way. Turn onto Heathcote Lane, then Heathcote Way, and Rigby Close is on the estate with free parking outside the unit.
Rough drive times outside rush hour. Every route ends on Europa Way, and if Longbridge island is queuing at peak time, give yourself a few extra minutes.
Take the A422 Alcester Road out to Wildmoor roundabout and follow the A46 bypass around the north of town, past Bishopton and Marraway, to Longbridge. Around thirteen miles, and you never touch the town centre.
On the north side you are already beside the A46, so there is no town traffic to cross. Join at the nearest roundabout, head for Warwick, then one junction south on the M40 from Longbridge. Allow fifteen to twenty minutes.
Head east on the B4086 towards Wellesbourne and cut across to the A429, which runs past Barford and straight up to Longbridge. Roughly eleven miles without going through the middle of Stratford.
The quickest run skips the motorway altogether: the B4087 north towards Leamington, the B4100 Banbury Road, then Europa Way to Heathcote Lane. About seven miles from the village centre.
Weekday doors are open 06:15 to 20:00, and Saturday 07:30 to 12:00. Tick the times that suit you on the enquiry form and a coach will suggest sessions that fit.
Train first and you are already beside the motorway: Junction 14 puts you on the M40 north towards Birmingham, Junction 13 south towards Banbury and London, and Europa Way runs into Warwick and Leamington in minutes.
Drop off in Stratford, drive across once the morning rush has eased, and be home well before lunch. Ask about mid-morning sessions on your discovery call.
Doors stay open until 20:00 on weekdays. If you work in Warwick, Leamington or Coventry, the gym sits close to your route back to Stratford rather than across the county.
Sessions run between 07:30 and 12:00. Train early and you can be back in Stratford before the town centre fills up for the day.
“They are amazing coaches who take the time to check in during sessions, and you never need to think about what you are doing as you are told. Looking forward to staying at PF and seeing where it takes me. I never thought I’d look forward to a 6am HYROX session, but I do.”
“What I thought might be something I join for a few months to kickstart getting back into the gym has ended up with me still being here 3 years later. Stronger, faster and doing things I never thought I would ever put myself forward for.”
“I achieved more in that year than I did in five years in a normal gym following an app. The coaches genuinely care about your progress and the programming is spot on.”
About 25 minutes and roughly eleven miles from the town centre. Take the A439 Warwick Road to Marraway Island, the A46 to Longbridge, then the M40 south for one junction, leaving at Junction 14 for Europa Way and Heathcote Lane. Allow a little longer at rush hour, when Longbridge island can queue.
From Wellesbourne, skip the motorway: the B4087 and the B4100 Banbury Road bring you onto Europa Way in around fifteen minutes. From Tiddington and Alveston, the B4086 and the A429 past Barford take you to Longbridge without crossing the middle of Stratford.
Weekday doors open at 06:15 and close at 20:00, and Saturday runs from 07:30 to 12:00. Early sessions suit anyone heading on to the M40 afterwards, mid-morning works around the school run, and evenings make a natural stop on the way home. Tick the times that suit you on the enquiry form and a coach will suggest sessions that fit.
Right outside. Parking is free and on site at Unit 7E Rigby Close, on Heathcote Industrial Estate. Put CV34 6TH into the sat nav, turn off Europa Way onto Heathcote Lane, then follow Heathcote Way into Rigby Close.
Yes. Coached small groups suit beginners well, because every session is coached and no group is bigger than seven, so the coach can scale each movement to where you are on the day. Your free fifteen minute discovery call is the place to ask anything before you make the trip.
Everyone starts with a free fifteen minute discovery call, then the 6 Week Experience: a paid, coached six-week block that shows you and the coaches whether Physical Formula is the right fit. Full details are on the Getting Started page.
Coaching-led small group PT usually sits between a commercial gym membership and one-to-one personal training. We talk through pricing on your discovery call, once we know how often you want to train. Send an enquiry and a coach will reply within 24 hours.
Send a short enquiry, tell us which side of Stratford you are coming from and the times that suit, and a coach will reply within 24 hours to arrange your free discovery call. From there, the 6 Week Experience is how everyone starts.
