Form checked as you lift
Bar path, bracing, tempo, breathing: a coach is watching all of it, every session, and adjusting the load before a sloppy rep turns into a sore back. You are never left to work it out alone.
A coaching-led gym on the Heathcote side of Warwick, around ten minutes from the Market Place. Every session is coached in person, groups never go above seven, and your programme is written around your week.
Our postal address reads Royal Leamington Spa, yet Unit 7E Rigby Close carries a Warwick CV34 postcode and sits inside Warwick’s own parish boundary, in the Myton and Heathcote ward, a few streets from Warwick Gates. For most of the town, getting here means a short run over Castle Bridge and out along Banbury Road, not a trip into Leamington itself.
What you find at the end of it is not another self-service floor. It is coached strength and conditioning in small groups, capped at seven, with your sessions written before you arrive and a coach who knows your name, your numbers and the old injury you mentioned on the discovery call.
Around 100 members train here. Everyone starts in the same place: a free fifteen minute discovery call, then the 6 Week Experience, six coached weeks that show you and the coaches whether it is the right fit.
Warwick Castle · around ten minutes from Rigby Close
Plenty of gyms will sell you access to equipment. These are the four things you get here that a fob and a floor plan never could.
Bar path, bracing, tempo, breathing: a coach is watching all of it, every session, and adjusting the load before a sloppy rep turns into a sore back. You are never left to work it out alone.
Sessions follow progressive blocks, built around your lifts, your history and whatever you tell us on day one, and adjusted week by week. You arrive, the work is planned, and the coach can tell you why each piece is there.
Each cohort runs at four to seven people, so the coach sees every rep and nobody queues for a rack. You keep regular weekly slots, which means the same faces beside you and someone who notices when you miss a week.
Physical Formula is an official HYROX Training Club. Sleds, SkiErgs and wall balls are coached as part of the wider programme, and race blocks are written for anyone with a date in the diary. More on the HYROX coaching page.
About 2.3 miles from the middle of town. Cross the Avon on Castle Bridge, stay on the A425 Banbury Road, then bear left onto Gallows Hill past Warwick Technology Park. Go straight over the roundabout onto Heathcote Lane, turn left onto Heathcote Way, and Rigby Close is on the right.
Rough drive times from around town, with a little traffic allowed for, and the sessions that tend to suit each journey. Every route finishes the same way: Heathcote Lane, Heathcote Way, then free parking outside the unit.
You are practically neighbours: under a mile by road via Harbury Lane and Heathcote Lane, close enough to walk or cycle on a dry morning. Being this near makes a midday session realistic if you work from home, or forty-five coached minutes while the children are at school.
The classic route runs down Jury Street and Castle Hill, over Castle Bridge, then along Banbury Road and Gallows Hill. From Bridge End you are already over the river, so it is quicker still. With the first weekday sessions at 06:15, you can be coached and back home before the school run starts.
North of the centre, the usual line is down Coventry Road, through town on St Nicholas Church Street and out over Castle Bridge. The cross-town stretch is the slow part, so allow a quarter of an hour at peak times, or pick a later evening slot once the rush has eased.
West of town, most sat navs skip the centre altogether: out to the Longbridge roundabout, a short stretch of the M40, then the A452 and Europa Way up to Heathcote Lane. Handy if your working day already starts on the A46 or the M40, because the gym sits a few minutes off the motorway.
Wherever you start, the doors are open 06:15 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 07:30 to 12:00 on Saturdays. Tell us your postcode and your working pattern on the discovery call and we will suggest regular slots that survive your week.
“They are amazing coaches who take the time to check in during sessions, and you never need to think about what you are doing as you are told. Looking forward to staying at PF and seeing where it takes me. I never thought I’d look forward to a 6am HYROX session, but I do.”
“What I thought might be something I join for a few months to kickstart getting back into the gym has ended up with me still being here 3 years later. Stronger, faster and doing things I never thought I would ever put myself forward for.”
“I was 56 and well over 18 stone. A short conversation with Olivia convinced me to go and have a free try out. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel like one of the family. Everything immediately felt different.”
Both, in a sense. Our postal address reads Royal Leamington Spa, but Unit 7E Rigby Close has a Warwick CV34 postcode and sits within Warwick’s parish boundary, on the Heathcote Industrial Estate next to Warwick Gates. From the Market Place it is about 2.3 miles, or around ten minutes by car.
Cross the Avon on Castle Bridge and follow the A425 Banbury Road, then bear left onto Gallows Hill past Warwick Technology Park. Go straight over the roundabout onto Heathcote Lane, turn left onto Heathcote Way, and Rigby Close is on the right. From Chase Meadow or Hampton Magna, most sat navs send you via the Longbridge roundabout, the M40 and Europa Way instead.
Weekday sessions run between 06:15 and 20:00, so you can train before work, in the middle of the day once the children are at school, or on the way home. On Saturdays the gym is open from 07:30 to 12:00. Tell us the shape of your week on the discovery call and we will suggest regular slots that fit it.
Yes. Parking is free and on site, right outside the unit, and the front entrance is step-free. It is one less thing to plan than a town centre car park.
Not at all. Many members started as complete beginners or after a long break. Every exercise is scaled to where you are today, and with groups capped at seven the coach sees every rep you do.
Everyone starts with a free fifteen minute discovery call, then the 6 Week Experience: six paid, coached weeks that show you and the coaches whether Physical Formula is the right fit. Full details are on the Getting Started page.
Small group PT usually sits between a standard gym membership and one-to-one personal training in price. We talk through the options on the discovery call once we know how often you want to train. Send an enquiry and a coach will reply within 24 hours.
